The Resting Place is a 501 (C) (3) Christian-Based Community Driven Organization. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for all people within the City of Harrisburg. It is our mission to strengthen the youth and adults within our community through spirituality, education, counseling, motivation and advocacy. We intend to assist individuals to be self-sufficient by obtaining the necessary skills for academic and economic advancement.
It is our mission to provide genuine love, concern, and guidance to our community that is at-risk of violence, incarceration, poverty, and other systematic inequalities. We intend to address the community^s needs by providing a Safe Haven (Community Center) overflowing with a diverse group of Volunteers and Staff that will provide alternative solutions to address the root of our community concerns and improve lives forever. |

| Our Purpose: |
 To coordinate services that will provide economic assistance to the community. |
| To provide role-models for our youth through mentorship. |
| To provide academic assistance to youth and adults within the community. |
| To provide training and empowerment initiatives. |
| To enhance the value system of our youth and put a conclusion to Youth violence. |
| To prepare young single-mothers to become self-efficient. |
| To teach the word of God to all those that are willing to participate. |
| To assist community members in pursuing post-secondary education. |

Place, where they can put down the baggage of inner-city life, and pick up the knowledge and love of God through people that care about who they are, and direction that they are going.
